They don't recognize the America around them. How do you not recognize America and its values? Essentially what these people are saying is that for the last 200+ years, America has been a society that holds Judeo- Christian values, sanctity of life, biblical truths, capitalism, protectionism, and strong defense as misnomers and flawed theses. They apparently view American history as completely opposite of these tenets. But, then again, given the state of public schools and the re invention of American history in text books, maybe this is the America that liberals believe we have built.

Bush's Numbers

check out bush's numbers

Bush's Numbers

Check out Bush's numbers

Bin Laden Votes for Kerry

Bin Laden's latest videotape is now believed to contain a warning to any specific state that votes for Bush. But who is better off because of it? One could argue that Bush is better off because he has been able to bring vast sums of money to the table in order to blanket the airwaves. However, Kerry has opened up his wife's purse and pulled out a fair amount himself. In fact, this campaign triples the amount spent in 2000 on advertising. I argue there is one clear winner-the media. Imagine running the Super Bowl every day for 9 months and having two companies pay for advertising each day. The media would hold an election every year if they could, now that they have seen what it brings them. More importantly, though, we have seen two critical and unprecedented issues in the last two elections. The races, according to media polling data, are extremely close and we have a whole group of "undecideds" that just can't make up their minds. If I were in the media, I know what I would do. Continue to press the "tightness" of the race and tout the many "undecideds" who are desperately yearning for more information about each candidate. Why would I do this? I can ensure myself ( big media) of receiving another check in the mail from a candidate rubber banded to another VHS taped ad to play during Jeopardy. What a great racket I would have- keep telling the candidates that there are "undecided" voters out there, tell the public how close the election is to make sure people watch the news for late breaking lead changes, and all the while picking up money coming and going. Anyone want to speculate on how "close" the 2008 election will be and how many "undecideds" need some more advertising dollars spent on them?

Liberal Outrage at the Right

Professor decides that kicking a student for wearing a Republican sweatshirt is the appropriate way to show displeasure with their opinion.

What Have We Learned This Week, Folks?

Well, we learned that Curses in Boston end for no apparent reason, Smurf Turf and a Zen Master can make Idaho forget about potatoes, and Arafat got a tummy ache from all the lies he spits out. Michael Moore ate all the ballots in Florida and will eat you if you don't vote Kerry. It's all about the float, kids. you can't have it anymore.

What a Brilliant Quote

This may be one of the funniest serious quotes I have ever read. I'm taller than my mother. That shouldn't be. Nothing within the physical world genetically altered me so that I was smaller than previous generations. This is like saying I am short because the last four generations of my family have kept our food below the sink, forcing our family to forage at a lower level, therefore, we have evolved into 3 foot tall Burwells, the perfect height to reach our food next to the garbage disposal. Is this in case the first parachute fails? Think about it. 25 groups of National leaders got together and went through this thought process-"I suck as a leader. The only way I can get my country to survive another millenium is if I turn power over to everyone else. I hope no one in my country realizes I am giving up sovereignty based on my inability to lead." Or, this Union of confederated also-rans trying to get France and England's money is set up purely as a power play for a multitude of middle government hacks to get a new title. There aren't enough Dukes, Lady's, Kings, and Pontificates. I guess they need to create another layer of titles, useless positions, and staff. Maybe Kerry and Clinton could take their cue from this. If the Democrats don't win, they could just create a new level of government that would promote globalism, socialized medicine, and complete gun control in a non- militarized state. A modest proposal for the 21st century. As I reflect on this notion, the irony doesn't lie in the complete idiocy of this idea, but rather the irony is if this were offered the day after the election, I would bet my overtaxed paycheck we would have two separate but equal(in size) countries. Shhh... Don't give anyone any ideas.

The pilot's union has sent his paperwork

Brain in a Dish Flies Plane-Scientists are working on adding fingers so it can type its initials for the high score.

Jennings

I guess you can't say anything bad about the media, eh Jennings?

NPR and Michigan's caring

NPR had a report this morning regarding the "replacement" vehicles now filtering into the Michigan government. They are reduced emission, hybrid powered, efficient cars. They have brought in the first four of one hundred on their way. We were enticed to sit back in our SUV seats as we drove to work and feel guilty for our continued gas guzzling habits (NPR's way of giving us a stern "shame on you"). We also had to look with great respect to the state that surrounds the heart of the automobile industry moving forward in its care for the environment. I'm welling up again...excuse me. However, they forgot to tell us what will happen to those BAD vehicles being replaced. Maybe because they did not want to say that instead of the cars being re-engineeered, they will more likely be sold on the cheap at some state auction where their foul emissions will continue to choke the life out of our liberal friends who are giving trees pedicures and backrubs. They will probably be ran for another 100,000 miles by some teenager who was able to afford a car at auction because the car was not maintained by the government. Michigan effectively added to the pollution by increasing the number of vehicles on the street. But that is not the issue! Michigan cares and that's all we NEED to know. Interestingly enough, doesn't the Democratic party operate in much the same fashion? They have presented the American public with a candidate who is seemingly reduced his liberal emissions and is a hybrid of compassionate conservatism and government caretaker. The problem is, much like the Michigan government cars, he is just another vehicle in the system, not replacing any of his counterparts who spew their noxious gases.

The Bush Cheney Defacement

I am now officially a statistic in the liberal paintball war. My Bush Cheney sign was defaced at some point during the course of last night. I probably look like a coward since I missed their debate. It was such an eloquent debate with red swirls of spray paint on one side and large gray circles on the other side of the sign. I know that if had been invited to the intelligent discourse of ideas, I would have only been armed with thoughts and convictions. Obviously no match for two rattling cans of polyurethane(the paint, not the activists). What amazes me most, I think, is the lack of correlation these liberals have when it comes to true outlets of opinion and vandalism. The individuals responsible and ,likewise, those who find it either funny or righteous to deface private property, have inextricably linked opinion with totalitarian ideals. I find it interesting to note that when Stalin was feeling the most vulnerable in his power, he would execute those around him. However, he would take it a step further. He would forever remove their image from history by hiring Kremlin artists to retouch state photos and propoganda to take the executed completely out of the image. Maybe the Democrats are taking their cue from Totalitarian regimes and deciding that if they cannot, in the course of intelligent debate, accurately foist their views on a vulnerable public, then maybe they can erase the memory of their enemies through spray paint and thievery. By the way, what's next? Getting shoved into our lockers by the Democrat bullies?

The Christening

Well-On the advice, nay, the leadings of a respected friend, I have now opened myself to public scrutiny by posting my musings, rants, justifications, opinions, and sometimes, I am sure, blatherings.
